A "Friendship" Menehunes Invitational Champions: "REFRESH"
"REFRESH" Claims the inaugural A-Friendship Division Championship!
The game started off going back and forth but it was Refresh going on a run to take a comfortable lead 33-21 going into the second half.
Menehunes-Beach Bums stepped on the gas pedal to make there push, lead by David Duong 15 points, but was no match for Refresh, after Refresh hit the "Refresh" button with dominant performances by Calvin Lee game high 19 points, Thai La 15 points-9 rebounds, and team captain Calvin Gabriels 11 points and tournament high 6 steals.

Misfits make there Menehunes Invitational tournament debut. They are a team that plays in the Nikkei Basketball Association, ran by one of the nicest people out there, Mark Kimura. Coach Benny Lew, coaches the troop, which has players that played in various organizations (Tigers, FOR, and various Asian organizations). They have a nice group of guys but look out for the father-son combo out there on the court. Zak Lew is the son of Coach Benny Lew, gets the opportunity to play with his son on the court. It should be a fun and exciting time for them.

Dim Sum Light makes there Menehune Invitational Basketball Tournament debut as another veteran team. Coach Tasha Falk is the leader of this team. Captain Guy Falk is the teams key veteran who will make this team run. His basketball IQ and his experience on the court will be key to the teams success. There is one thing for sure is DIM SUM LIGHT will have some of the coolest shoes out there on the court. What will Guy Falk be wearing for the tournament?? That we all need to find out. Watch out for the little ones Tag and Brandan Falk, the future of Dim Sum Light players. They have a big and solid team, and will be interesting to see how they do in there first Menehune Invitational. |

The Menehunes-Beach Bums, will also carry a veteran roster. Hon Trieu will make this team run. La Ron Denson will make all the hustle plays and do all the intangibles out there on the court. Look out for the rebounders Shaun Sakahara and Johnny Chen. And Antonio Hood will be the Menehunes sharp shooter out there on the court. Menehunes are an unselfish team and a team effort will be needed for this team. |

Orient Express makes there debut in the Menehunes Invitational tournament as one of the veteran teams. They played many years together and was one of the best teams in there era. Coach Tony Jew gathered up the troop to lace it up once again and compete in another tournament. Lets see what they have left in the tank? Don't count them out as we saw how basketball IQ and experience played a key part in the San Antonio Spurs success this season. Watch out for Orient Express in this years Menehunes Invitational Basketball tournament to make a run for the title. |

They are a younger group of guys who play hard out there on the court.
